Περιγραφή
[...] To follow a career as a photographer, Eleni Leoussi chose to be in England. After studying , she specialised in dance photography, working only in black and white. She settled in North London and married a travel writer with whom she had a son, Jack. Although she made occasional visits to Greece, it wasn't until 2002 that the idea of this personal photographic journey took form. Eleni says she didn't want to go back to Greece only to take photographs. She needed to go back. She saw this return as the freedom she had many years ago sought in London. Her project, which took three months of actual travelling, began in Autumn 2002 and finished in October 2003 due to necessary return trips to London. She decided to make the journey as simple and down-tο-earth as possible to get the pictures she wanted. Travelling along made the experience alive and spontaneus. "It was a spiritual exercise as much as a professional project". [...]
